Absolutely love this recording. I listen to it at work. I listen to it in the car on the way home from work. I listen to it while falling asleep. Curtis’ cello is so amazing. Just got the vinyl in the mail from Discogs the other day! Can’t wait to play on my hi-fi system!

Had the pleasure of attending Andy Lee's performance world premiere of "pianist, alone (2)" at CalArts in September 2013. Hearing it again now, it re-strikes me as uniquely, if quietly, stunning. Man music mechanism: all engaged in a pure probing of sonic possibility. Essential, restrained, ultimately rapturous.
